FIRST SOLO SHOW COLLECTION TITLED: DUALITY
BOLD AND COLORFUL PAINTINGS PLACED NEXT TO MIRRORED  BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE MANY FACETS OF WOMANHOOD.  THERE ARE TIMES OF SOLITUDE AND QUIET STRENGTH, BUT THERE ARE ALSO TIMES WHERE WE ARE BOLD AND BRIGHT.
It’s About “Time” highlights the beauty of the representation of African-American women in popular culture. Each clock depicts an important and influential entertainer gracing a cover of the most infamous month in women’s magazines- the September issue.  The pieces emphasize the recognition of women of color in an industry that has idealized European beauty.  One issue (Vogue) is especially important because its the first time in 125 years this magazine has employed an African-American photographer. IAT is both a celebration of the well-deserved accolades for African-American women and also an introspection into the use of black culture for profit rather than genuine appreciation of black culture.
